An authentic Romanian technology, created by a family with decades of knowledge in the textile industry.
More than 30 years of knowledge and reasearch in the textile industry, constant curiosity and need to improve, plus the consistency of Florian, the founder of the company – all led to a unique approach in processing natural fabrics, called Air Soft Technology.
Ever since the beggining of deFlorian, our desire was to take a step back and return to those times when life had a slower pace and our ancestors used the genius of Nature in day to day living.
At the border of hand-made and industrial, Air Soft Technology it's a modern, yet unconventional technique inspired by the the old, authentic home-weaving techniques. We kept the slow processing, gentleness and care that our ancestors had in protecting the fibers throughtout the entire fabric-making process; without any unncessary stressors of the fibers and aggressive treatments that could affect their longevity and original qualities.
By applying these principles, we managed to create an innovative technique – Air Soft Technology – that emphasizes the fabric`s natural properties. Aside from their specific, appealing appearance, by infusing little air molecules between the cotton fibers we could insure a way higher absorbtion capacity, a considerably longer life and superior resistance (qualities that are usually lowered when using chemical treatments and forced tensions applied to the fibers).
As a result of a fair and genuine processing, Air Soft Technique gave our fabrics some particular, exquisite characteristics:
- They became anti-allergic
- Their absorbtion capacity and comfort were multiplied significantly
- They are extremely easy to care for and don't request special treatments
- They are dimensionally stable, regardless of the washing temperature
- They are long-lasting and significantly more resistant
